What should I bring on my beach vacation?

My boyfriend and I are going to Destin Florida for our one year aniverary together. I've never been on a vacation alone before( I'm 19) , and cant really come up with anything to bring other than a beach bag , towls, sunscreen, and ice chest.

1. don't forget your sunglasses, hats, swimwear, something to read, a nice flipflops, your IpoD maybe - and plenty of your energies and excitement. that would be enough for a nice beach vacation.
2. umbrella for shade and money for drinks. maybe a frisbee or a ball to throw around. crossword puzzles in case you get bored on the beach.

4. I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home. Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
